Growing up in Germany, I was never really exposed to tattoos — I genuinely don’t think anyone I knew had one. I had some exposure later when we lived in Ann Arbor and Ithaca, or through friends and relatives, but it really hit me when we moved to Rochester. It felt like a much more tattoo-friendly culture. I always wondered what it would be like to have one. Whatever I got, I wanted them to be not generic, but truly mine — something personal and meaningful to me.

I got all my tattoos from Adam at Lucky Folk Tattoo. I’m very grateful for him talking me through the process, all the advice he gave me, and how beautifully they turned out.

Trio of Childhood Magic — 08/27/2025

A geometric tattoo combining three childhood magic universes — Harry Potter’s Deathly Hallows, Zelda’s Triforce, and Pokémon’s Poké Ball — all hidden within a single equilateral triangle with inscribed circle and altitudes.

Ruler — 06/03/2026

Inspired by Adam Savage’s ruler tattoo: a minimalist measurement scale with metric (1cm/5mm) marks on the left forearm and imperial (1″/½″/¼″) marks on the right, designed through iterative revisions using Python/Pillow.
